Fremantle Primary School has beneficial partnerships with many external businesses and organisations. Some of these include:
Notre Dame University hold a co-opted position on the Fremantle Primary School Board and provide staff with an array of professional learning in the area of ICT. The university has utilised this partnership with pre-service teachers gaining experience through various practicums at Fremantle Primary School.
As part of the official partnership between our school and the Fremantle Dockers Football Club, the school was presented a signed 2017 player’s jersey and a complete set of new Fremantle PS jerseys for our school football team! Thanks so much to the Fremantle Dockers Football Club. GO FREO!
Story Dogs is a reading support program where selected children read to an accredited dog and its handler. Reading takes place in a quiet area of the school such as the library or verandah outside the classroom. Sessions run for20 minutes long, where each child is one-on-one with the dog team. When children read to a dog the outcomes are amazing:
- They have FUN
- They are not judged
- Their focus improves
- Their reading skills increase
- Their confidence soars
We connect volunteers who want to make a difference with young people in schools who need extra help and guidance.
At EdConnect Australia we change lives.
We bring communities closer together. We are about older generations inspiring the next.
We make Australia stronger. It’s inspirational stuff. But there’s so much more we can achieve.
It’s about raising literacy and numeracy standards, but also equipping young people with the life skills they need.
Fremantle Primary moves into its 5th year of partnership with EdConnect and really value our EdConnect mentors and classroom volunteers.
