Welcome to Fremantle Primary School, a place where we commit to inspiring creative, critical thinkers in a caring and inclusive community.
Fremantle Primary School is a unique learning community nestled in the heart of Walyalup/Fremantle. We are proud of the community we serve and the rich mix of cultures, stories, creativity and connections that make our town such a special place to be, learn and grow. With a diverse range of cultural, artistic and sporting facilities within walking distance, students are privy to an array of options and partnerships on our doorstep. Through our connections with local organisations, we actively seek to connect the uniqueness of Fremantle to our learning—drawing on local places, people and events to make learning authentic, engaging and meaningful.
Our school grounds host play equipment and green spaces suitable for all ages and we also enjoy a shared play facility with the City of Fremantle. Students make the most of the open areas, playing a variety of informal sports and games. Thanks to our connection to the Stephen Michael Foundation, our senior students engage in Indigenous Sports games and competitions. In all, our school provides a unique opportunity for students of differing year levels to mix and put into practice the value of inclusivity.
With a student population of approximately 160, Fremantle Primary School prides itself on its sense of community – it is a genuinely supportive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment. The school has a rich and embedded values program, with students being encouraged to show respect, honesty and responsibility in their learning and behaviour. Parents are considered partners in our school, and take an active and engaged approach to their children’s schooling. Our school P&C is a dynamic group that supports the school through a number of different avenues, while the School Board plays a pivotal role in assisting the Principal set the strategic direction of this Independent Public School.
The highly competent and experienced members of teaching staff at Fremantle Primary provide an enriched and engaging curriculum that caters for individual student needs. Additional to the explicit core curriculum, specialist subject areas of Physical Education, Art, Science and Italian provide further opportunities for student engagement and learning.
I invite you to come down to school and meet with me to discuss what we can offer for your child at Fremantle Primary School.
